Minter paints with enamel on metal, often blending the paint with her fingers. Her subject matter is a sometimes gender bending look at glamor, or a woman choking on her jewels. She often picks up on details that others ignore — the ridge left by a sock on an ankle, the dirt on the edge of a toenail, or clumps of mascara on an eye.
