CURRENT WORK 2025
11 July - July 13, 2025
VAROSY STUDIOS
DAN CAMERON is an independent exhibition curator and art writer who works between NYC and Glens Falls. He served for much of his career in senior curatorial positions at the New Museum, Orange County Museum of Art, and the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, and in 2008 he founded the international triennial Prospect New Orleans, which recently ended a successful sixth edition. Dan is currently Director and C-Founder of La Capilla Azul, a rural exhibition space located in the archipelago of Chiloé in southern Chile.
VAROSY STUDIOS is a rural gallery space, built fifteen years ago by Hannie Varosy and her late husband Gyula Varosy, both practicing artists, to showcase their work. In July 2024, a pop-up exhibition of paintings and works on paper by Greenwich-based painter SETH BUTLER created the impetus for the present series.
Organized by DAN CAMERON in collaboration with VAROSY STUDIOS, a series of four weekend pop-up exhibitions, presented in a beautiful gallery space nestled in the rolling landscape of Washington County, will showcase one-person exhibitions of four nearby artists.
